A terrified pop star is being haunted by a ‘ ghost ‘ which appears in her videos.
Canadian singer Mozhdah Jamalzadah says she has been haunted by the mysterious figure while working on her new album in Vancover.
And after posting the eerie footage on social media people are convinced the ‘ghost’ has been caught on camera.
In one post, a bizarre female figure lurks behind the unaware star as the singer talks about her work.
The video appearance sent her social media followers into meltdown with dozens of fans reacting to the supernatural apparition.
Mozhdah, who has sung for the Obamas at the White House, admitted she was freaked out about the encounter – adding that her family have a history of being tormented by ghouls.
The 31-year-old said: “I am really freaked out by what is happening. I have never seen a ghost actually in front of me at the studio, but I do feel something there.
“When I posted the video I didn’t see this ghost immediately, but looking at it closer there seems to be some weird figure with long hair that could be a hex figure.
“I am not sure what to do, or whether I can face going back.”
She recorded the tune at the CBC Studios in Vancouver, where she has felt a ghostly experience in the past.
Mozhdah said: “The studio is two levels below ground, set in darkness and it feels very lonely.
“Sometimes I feel like there is a presence in the recording booth when I sing. Even though it is just me in the booth I feel like someone is breathing down my neck.
“I feel the hair down the back of the neck stick up. I turn around and obviously no-one is there, but I feel some kind of being there.”
The bizarre encounter happened as Mozhdah revealed details of her new album Words working with producer Ovi Bistriceanu.
But while she chatted to camera, a bizarre creature appeared behind her in the studio corner around the 27 second mark.
Social media fans began commenting on the scary sight:
rosellelamers said: “There is a ghost behind mozhdah …”
Mozhdah’s experiences are the latest in a string of bizarre ghost encounters in Vancouver. The city boasts a famous past as a site for ghostbusters to track down ghouls.
Dozens of visitors have seen specters at sites very close to the CBC Studios like Old Spaghetti Factory, Hotel Europe, Gaoler’s Mews and the Lamplighter Pub.
Afghan born Mozhdah is famous in the Middle East and Canada for her musical work.
She says that her mum has been a victim in the past too having ghost encounters.
“In the original city of Kabul my mother had a ghost encounter, seeing a series of small people walking around in front of her in the basement of a house.
“And while that seemed odd at the time, she said that for many neighbours ghost encounters were a regular thing among the people of the area.
“Of course because of her I started to believe that there is more than us in this world.
“When I went back to Afghanistan, grown men told me their stories about ghost encounters and how scared they were, when they stayed over night at some of these old buildings during the war.
“I am not sure if the ghosts have come to haunt our family, but I am concerned. I am not sure I want to return to the studio alone.”
On International Women’s Day 2010, Mozhdah was asked to be the first Afghan to perform at the White House for then President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.
She made headlines around the world when she performed a song about the the bravery of Afghan Women called “Dokhtare Afghan”
She has recorded her new single Feathers, which will be out in the autumn.
She said: “With all these encounters maybe we will include a ghost story in the video.”
