Spouse observed a bright light outside the window of our house in angel fire nm. it was traveling in a straight line in the northeastern direction. she joked about it being a ufo. i then went to look at it and was alerted as it was not displaying the required aviation navigational lights. i looked at it through the binoculars to get a closer look. i could only see a solid white light with no strobe lights. it was moving away from us. it appeared below a thousand feet and was considerably brighter than the dark sky background.We both observed it go behind a single cloud and it never emerged. having worked in aviation i was bewildered at the anomalous nature of what i was seeing. i went outside and observed several other civilian aircraft in the area about 5 minutes after the last sighting of the unknown object.They were easily identified with the required navigational lights and markings.
