I was commuting to work eastbound on hwy 16. the new narrows bridge was under construction so traffic was moving slowly at about 10-15 mph. the sun was barely illuminating the sky, just enough to outline my. rainier and the the foothills. i was admitting this view as i scanned the horizon and i noticed a ring of lights over the fred meyer store. i had never noticed this and thought they were construction lights, but noticed there was no pole supporting them i could make out the out in of trees and light posts, but the object was airborne. it was still, i rolled my window down to insure i was seeing a reflection. i heard no.Unusual sound, just slow traffic.The object reminded me of a giant anniversary ring, like a band with uniform sized diamonds encircling it. the lights may well have been windows, the light emitting from them was soft. i was intrigued but had no choice to continue my commute and soon passed the area from which i could see it. i very much wanted to stop and observe.
