The object was very high in the sky, above 10,000 ft. it was a bright glowing circular object with a dark gap in the circle. it flew towards us at a low rate of speed and was rotating. the dark section was moving with the speed of the rotation. the object flew from the horizon to a point above us and hovered, then it gained speed in the rotation until the dark gap was no longer visible due to the speed of the rotation. it reversed direction and flew off in the same direction from where it came. it took about 30 seconds to fly towards us and hover, and it took less than a half of a second to fly back over the horizon from where it originated.
