My husband and i live in the middle of our city. there are street lights & store lights everywhere. it is not uncommon for me to stand in the middle of my backyard and observe the night sky. on friday, december 30th, 2016, around 8:15-8:30ish in the evening, i looked up and saw 2 orange-ish/red balls slowly rising up above. they stayed completely in sync until they both seemed to burn out and disappear. less than a minute later, we saw another one do the same thing- appear, ascend, and disappear. we watched over 11 of these do this. some were solo and others were in groups of 3 & 6. after about 10 minutes or so, the last group ascended and disappeared. i called all of our local news stations to see if there were any outdoor drone races taking place and every station said no.
