this happened in the nineteen seventies but has bugged me ever since it was approx. 6 am in the summer months as i was walking to my truck in the dark for work then suddenly the sky lit up so bright i could see as if it where daylight i automatically looked up to the nw and saw a wiggly cloudy streak as if it where a fire cracker then it just disappeared this was all in a space of the tip of my fingernail with my arm stretched out to about 80 degrees i phoned the weather man on the radio station and he though it could be a sun flash but had no idea what the other object was as today i can still picture this clearly
