What: pair of blue lights, small but resolved, so not quite star-like, bright enough to easily see against clear sky, separation about 1/3 width of pinky nail at arm's length motion: north-northeast (10-20 degrees east of north) at about speed of a typical aircraft, in single file, except that the pair swayed back & forth about 30 degrees from direction of motion, with period of 15-20 sec elevation: 60-70 degrees azimuth: 10-15 degrees east of north when: about 3:10 or 3:15 pm sunday apr. 16, observed about 2 min. no sound, but i was in noisy environment surface wind was from south & slight went to get binoculars, but object was gone when i got back was on the roof of a building at caltech, helping to install an amateur radio antenna. was watching the guy working on the tower, which is why i saw the object. after watching for 45 sec or a minute, went downstairs to get binoculars, but it was gone when i got back. thought it might be sun reflecting off of something, but what in the sky is clear blue & oscillates back & forth?
