A British inventor has designed and built his very own functioning Iron Man flight suit.
Designed by British technology start up Gravity, entrepreneur Richard Browning has invented and flown a human propulsion jet suit that could re-imagine manned flight.
Gravity’s technology combines body mounted miniaturised jet-engines, with a specially designed exo-skeletal suit, allowing the pilot to vertically take off and fly using the human body to control the flight.

The four arm-mounted gas turbine engines and two hip-mounted gas turbine engines provide enough lift to enable a person capable of holding their body weight for long periods of time to fly.
Gravity is launching the ‘Daedalus’, its mark 1 propulsion suit. In doing so the company say they are inventing an entirely new aviation category.
The company claims the suit can fly in most locations and, despite being capable of flying at several hundred miles per hour, and at thousands of feet, normal operation of the suit sees the wearer flying at no more than a couple of metres.
Video footage shows the pilot moving in the air steadily using the jet suit.
The pilot demonstrates enough control to move forwards and backwards with ease and speed.
Earlier footage captures the testing phase of the technology as four miniaturised jet engines are attached to hand turbines that provide enough thrust to life the engineer off the floor.
After enough success with the hand turbines, engineers add more engines to the specially designed boots, to double the propulsion.
Richard Browning said: ‘This is a momentous point in aviation history. Daedalus is simply the beginning of a core technology that has endless potential in aviation, commercial and entertainment applications.
